Jobs of the future don't show up in employment projection reports because they don't exist yet. So how do you prepare for the future when jobs are changing so rapidly? We leverage the reports of forward looking companies and their executives to highlight the skills students will need to succeed in the 21st century job market; introduce jobs that don't currently exist, and provide recommendations to prepare students for future success. Program running time is 30-35 minutes.

This session will explain the benefits of collaboration and demonstrate what successful collaboration looks like. The session will launch with historical examples of successful collaboration to demonstrate the importance of this 21st century skill. Students will also learn: 1.The stages of team building (forming, storming, norming, and performing); 2. Expectations and norms for working with a team; 3. Common protocols for handling conflict disagreement so they are equipped to handle issues; and 4. Active listening skills.

This intro session brings awareness to critical thinking & problem solving as learned skills that can be practiced and matured with the goal of increasing confidence. In this session students will review important topics like issue identification, solution development, and decision making. They will also hear about why these skills are important to their future careers!
